Pilgrim Festival Chorus to Host Open Auditions at Welcome Nights

Pilgrim Festival Chorus (PFC), the region’s principal non-profit community choral group, invites singers throughout the region to join them during open auditions at two Welcome Nights.  On Monday, September 9th and Monday, September 16th, Music Director William Richter welcomes newcomers of all skill levels to learn about PFC and audition for vocal placement, if they wish, at 6:30 p.m. at the Church of the Pilgrimage, 8 Town Square in Plymouth.  The first rehearsals of the winter concert featuring Benjamin Britten’s Ceremony of Carols will immediately follow at 7:00 p.m.

PFC is an auditioned singing group for male and female vocalists of all skill levels, dedicated to the performance of choral music from many genres.  With about 80 current members, the group is particularly seeking men’s voices this season, especially singers in the tenor vocal range.  In their fourteenth season, PFC typically offers two major choral performances each year, plus a summer post-season concert of lighter music, with smaller volunteer groups occasionally engaging in appearances at local community events.

Rehearsals throughout the season are held on Monday nights from 7:00 to 9:00 pm, with some exceptions for holidays.  Winter concert performances will be held on Saturday, December 7th at 7:30 pm, and Sunday, December 8th at 4:00 pm at The Church of the Pilgrimage.
