Attention All Healthcare Providers and Allied Health Profession Students

School may be out for summer, but some students need to start planning now for the fall, specifically those students heading into a healthcare profession. Healthcare Educational Resources (H.E.R.) has added additional Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support CPR courses this summer to ready and prepare students now for their upcoming school requirements.

The two courses being offered through H.E.R. are:

·       Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR  For Healthcare Providers – Initial Certification

o   Tuesday, July 9, 2013, 6:00PM – 10:00PM

o   Tuesday, August 13, 2013, 6:00PM – 10:00PM

o   Saturday, August 24, 2013, 9:00AM – 1:00PM

o   Wednesday, August 28, 2012, 6:00PM – 10:00PM

·       Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR For Healthcare Providers – Renewal Certification

o   Tuesday, July 16, 2013, 7:00PM – 10:00PM

o   Tuesday, August 20, 2013, 7:00PM – 10:00PM

These courses are essential – and likely required – for doctors, dentists, nurses and nursing students, EMS personnel, physicians’ assistants, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, dental hygienists, occupational therapists and police or security officers.

The four-hour Initial Certification course includes all of the components of the Heartsaver CPR & AED course, plus, barrier devices, bag valve mask ventilation, two-rescuer scenarios, written exam, and AED skills testing.

The three-hour Renewal Certification is appropriate for students already possessing current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider course completion cards, and reviews information from the Initial Certification course previously taken.

The BLS Initial Certification course fee is $50.00 and the BLS Renewal course is $40.00. Courses are held at our training center in Bridgewater, MA.
