Winter Storm Watch in Effect for Plymouth

The National Weather Service predicts four to six inches of snow today and Sunday.

The National Weather Service is predicting heavy snow and high winds today in the second snow storm in a week.

The snow begins this morning with a snow/rain mix with little if any accumulation through the afternoon. The snow may be heavy Saturday night into early Sunday afternoon and winds will increase.

There is the potential for heavy snow along with strong winds across the far Southeast New England coast Saturday night into early Sunday afternoon.

The initially wet snow combined with strong winds could result in downed tree limbs and a few power outages, according to the NWS. Winds will be between 20 and 30 mph with 50 mph gusts and cause poor visibility and possibly near-whiteout conditions for a time. Untreated roads and walkways will become snow covered.

Are there shelters set up? Where are they? When will it/they be available? Most of Plymouth lost electricity Friday evening, and we did not know who to call for any such information Please consider getting that info out BEFORE we lose power

It doesn't look like there will be any storm shelters set up for this one. There may be some open if the storm becomes serious.
