The new 2020 license plate commemorates 400 years of history and democracy, while raising needed funds for Plymouth’s anniversary. But it will only become a reality if at least 1,500 people sign up to buy it now.
Plymouth South High School film students were given the task of producing a public service announcement for the Plymouth 2020 license plate and they have risen to the challenge.
"The student video contest provided a great opportunity to nurture creativity, participate in democracy, and own a piece of history. It’s a fun way to celebrate our national legacy," said Plymouth 400 President Kevin O’Reilly.
A number of great videos were submitted that showcase the students’ most creative attempts to convince everyone with a car to purchase the new plate. Plymouth 400, Inc. board members selected their two favorites and now they are asking for everyone’s help in choosing the winning video.
Special thanks go to Plymouth Schools Educational TV Specialist Adam Smith and all of his students for their efforts.
