State Police Identify Victim of Wednesday's Fatal Accident

A New Hampshire man was killed in a two-car accident Wednesday afternoon on Route 3.

State Police have identified the man who was killed in Wednesday's car crash on Route 3 North.

Dennis Traynor, 62, of Manchester, New Hampshire was driving a 2010 Volkswagen Jetta in the right lane just north of Exit 3 when, for reasons still under investigation, his vehicle came in contact with a Kia Forte in the left lane.

Traynor apparently lost control of his Jetta, drove off the road into the center median, and struck a tree. Traynor was pronounced dead on the scene.

The Kia was driven by James A. Booth, 56, of Natick.

The facts and circumstances of the crash remain under investigation by Troop D of the Massachusetts State Police with the assistance of the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and the State Police Crime Scene Services Section. Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Plymouth Fire Department and the Department of Transportation Highway Division.
