Memorial to be Held Saturday for Gary Ayre
Gary L. Ayre died from his injuries after a car crash on Cape Cod. Services will be held Saturday.
State Police are investigating the cause of an accident that killed a Plymouth man on Cape Cod Friday.
Gary L. Ayre, 50, was driving a 1971 Monte Carlo on Route 6 eastbound in Harwich Friday afternoon, when the car struck a bridge abutment, according to State Police.
Ayre was transported to Cape Cod Hospital where he died to his injuries.
According to his obituary, Ayre graduated from Marshfield High School in 1979. He loved the ocean and looked forward to working on his boat and fishing with friends.
"Gary took so much pride in caring for his yard and home. He loved classic cars and working on his 1971 Monte Carlo."
Ayre is survived by his wife, Donna, and two grown children.
Visiting hours will be held at the MacDonald Funeral Home 1755 Ocean St. Route 139, Marshfield, Saturday, March 24, from 1 to 3 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 3 p.m.
