Pilgrim Station Back Online Wednesday Night
Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station returned to service a week after being shut down after recirculation pumps stopped working.
Pilgrim Station was safely returned to service at 6:13 p.m. today when it was reconnected to the electric transmission grid, a Pilgrim spokesman said.
The plant was manually shut down Thursday afternoon after recirculation pumps stopped operating. Operators began the process of restarting Pilgrim early Wednesday.
At the time of the shutdown, Pilgrim had been online continuously for 230 days.
