Pilgrim Back Online after Blizzard
Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station returned to service Feb. 15, a week after going offline during the blizzard.
Pilgrim Station operators returned the plant to service at 10:49 p.m., Feb. 15, when it was reconnected to the New England electric transmission grid. The plant had been off-line since Friday evening, Feb. 8, when New England was hit by a major winter storm. While the plant was off-line, plant workers performed other maintenance that cannot be done while the plant is operating.
